Tentative Translation of Mr. Ibrahim Kh Ibrahim's Article "Will Makes Miracles"
Will Makes Miracles" by Ibrahim Kh. Ibrahim – Egypt
________
Hope is life fuel, and the free will makes miracles. To exemplify, Helen Keller, who was born in Alabama in North America, offered the humanity a practical lesson of hope, which conquered her deficiency, and of will, which turned despair into tangible reality. Keller started walking and uttering before she was a year old. When she was nineteen months old, she had fever which caused her blindness, deafness, and dumbness. Yet, she used to realize things with her senses of touch and smell. When she was 5 years old, she pursued learning Brill and showed supremacy that she could master Algebra, Mathematics, German and Latin languages. She also read literature and wrote a lot. During her university study life she published her book: "My Life: Optimism," – An Autobiography, where she emphasized that whoever wanted real knowledge, he/she should alone climb the mountain. Also, in her memoirs, she talked about her pitfalls; yet, she soon stood erect and overstepped these obstacles. Moreover, Albert Einstein, whose "Theory of Relativism" surprised the world, applied for a job at Munich Technical Institution, but they refused him for he had no abilities, so he worked as a postman and continued his education in Physics till he had put his theory, which put him in the first ranks in Jensen's' book. As for the world-celebrated musician Beethoven, who caught deafness, he continued his creativeness and never stopped, offering his influential music to the world. Emily Zola is another example, he was given a zero degree by his French Literature teacher, but he continued his education and creativity till he became one of the best French authors and critics. Rudyard Kipling, in hid youth-hood, applied for a job in English newspaper as an editor, but the editor-in-chief refused him as he had no mastery of English language. However, Kipling was awarded Noble Prize in literature. Taha Hussein is another example who lost his sight when he was a child. Nevertheless, Hussein insisted on pursuing his education till he became a university teacher, then a Minister of Education in Egypt, and he offered the Arabic library a huge number of influential books. Hussein asserted that education is like water and air for people… all people.
Furthermore, Egypt and world recognized artist-singer Abdul-Halim Hafez, who was bleeding but never stopped his artistic and national role. His song masterpieces are still alive in the memory of all humanity. Abdul-Jawwad M. S. Swailem, who loved Egypt so much since he was so young, offered heroic stances against the occupation. Swailem enrolled in the national service in "Thunderbolt Army." Since 1967, he accomplished 18 operations of trapping and attacking Israeli forces, destroying 16 tanks, 11 armored cruisers, 2 wagons, 2 bulldozers, 6 aircrafts and an army bus before being hit by an Israeli rocket and losing his right and left legs, right arm, his left eye. After having artificial extremities, he refused to quit military service and pursued struggle, crossing – with other Egyptian forces – Zeus Canal in October, 1973.
All of which were individual experiences. As for nations' collective experiences, we have Japan as a nation of genius and challenge. Japan determined to pursue prosperity and progress, even after being shelled nuclear bombs, when experts expressed the inability of Japan to resume its green land. We cannot deny Japan's modern great renaissance.
Prior to all, we have Prophet Mohammad (MPBUH) – the best and everlasting example of determination and challenge when he refused earthly temptations instead of the divine message. He said to his uncle "whether you put the sun in my right or the moon in my left, I would never quit my role."
Dear friends, never say "I am weak," as faith is hope, and never say "impossible," as tomorrow will shine the sun.
